India and New Zealand have signed a free trade agreement (FTA) aimed at reducing tariffs on fruits and enhancing export opportunities, including increased visa access. The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) is targeting a 200% growth in exports to $50 million over the next three years as a direct result of this deal.

The FTA is expected to significantly boost India's textile sector, according to the Textiles Ministry, fostering greater collaboration and trade between the two nations. This agreement marks a crucial step in strengthening economic ties and expanding market access for Indian products.
